Our Port St. Lucie eye doctor is passionate about eye health and why we offer free eye tests when you visit Dr. Durante. While we accept almost all visual health insurance policies, we won’t pressure you into other services, we simply want to be sure our community receives eye exams. Our Port St. Lucie location also manages and treats eye diseases we will discuss below. 

Management and treatment of eye diseases 

If during an exam with our Port St. Lucie eye doctor we determine an eye disease is present, we will provide associated treatments for your condition. We will provide a plan that helps you manage your eye disease with regular visits to us. Eye health diseases may include, yet are not limited to glaucoma, cataracts, dry eye, retinal issues, myopia, photophobia, conjunctivitis, astigmatism, uveitis, general and diabetic retinopathy and more. When you come in for your eye exam, please let us know if you already experience a preexisting eye concern. 

Eyeglasses and eyewear

We offer a wide array of state of the art eyeglasses that are both functional and stylish. Come in without an appointment to browse our large selection in Port. St. Lucie. Since we are by the beach, we especially want our patients to wear the proper, high-quality sunglasses that protect from UV rays as well. Dr. Durante will fit you for glasses if necessary as well as fill your prescription lenses. 

Contact lens exams and fittings with our Port St. Lucie eye doctor

If you would like to transition from eyeglasses to contact lenses or begin wearing contact lenses, Dr. Durante’s team will schedule a contact lens exam to measure your eyes as well as determine if you are a candidate for contacts. We offer disposable, bifocal, rigid gas permeable, soft and toric lenses for astigmatism correction purposes.

Dr. Durante will perform your contact lens fitting to be sure you are completely comfortable and that your eyes adjust properly to the size that has been selected. Dr. Durante says that proper contact lens size is directly related to optimizing eye health.
